Ag Grow Agronomy and Research is an independent agricultural consulting and research company operating in Griffith in South Western NSW.

Working closely with our clients, we offer them a professional agronomy package comprised of farm planning, monitoring and evaluating their cropping and pasture systems, in line with their individual goals.

Meet the Team

Barry Haskins

Agronomist/Director

Previously District Agronomist with NSW DPI (2002-2012) Barry has developed specialised skills in all aspects of cropping and pasture agronomy in both irrigated and dryland agriculture. He has also got a wide range of research experience including research concepts development, design, analysis and extension.

Barry was awarded a national award by Australian Society of Agronomy as young agronomist of the year in 2008. In 2017 Barry was the recipient of the GRDC Seed of Light award for making a significant contribution to communicating the outcomes of research.

Albert Gorman

Agronomist

Albert grew up on his family’s mixed enterprise farm in Euston NSW. Since graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Albert has been a valued member of the team.

Passionate about sustainable agriculture, Albert enjoys providing tailored advice to his clients taking research outcomes to their businesses, helping optimise crop production, profitability, and sustainability.

Mitch White

Agronomist

Coming from an agronomic consultancy role, Mitch prides himself on building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and developing a strong understanding of their farming business needs and goals.

Mitch’s experience in all facets of agronomy has allowed him to work closely with clients to optimise farm performance, whilst enhancing overall farm profitability and sustainability.

Trent Sosso

Agronomist

Born and raised in Griffith, Trent brings over 20 years of local agricultural knowledge to his role as an agronomist. With a strong background in horticulture and hands-on farm experience, he understands the unique challenges and opportunities faced by growers in the region.

Trent is passionate about building long-term relationships with clients and works closely with them to develop practical, whole-farm solutions. His focus is always on improving productivity, profitability, and sustainability across the business. With a deep commitment to professionalism and continuous improvement, Trent takes pride in helping clients grow and succeed season after season.

Rachael Whitworth

Research Manager

Formally district agronomist with NSW DPI (1997 to 2013), Rachael has specialised skills in both irrigated and dryland agronomy and research. Rachael’s intimate knowledge of all aspects of agronomy and the issues associated with various industries have allowed her to fall into the role of research manager comfortably.

Rachael is well known in the region for her work in crops such as rice and faba beans where she has been able to develop management and extension strategies that have led to significant gains in profitability and sustainability.
