CWFS Stubble Management Trials

15 Jun 2017 2:59 PM - Research Project
Collaborating with CWFS, funded by GRDC.

These trials aim to determine the optimum nitrogen rate and nitrogen timing for various stubble management practices in wheat, with the aim of achieving optimum grain yield and quality

These trials consist of:
      1. Phosphorous trial - aiming to determining the influence of stubble and cultivation on available phosphorous.
      2. Nitrogen trial - aiming to determining the influence of stubble and cultivation on available nitrogen.
      3. Nitrogen timing and application method trial - aiming to compare N rate and placement under 3 stubble/tillage methods
                              a) double shoot
                              b) IBS
                              c) Small up front, remainder topdressed later
